Parents/Gaurdians of Norfolk Village State Primary School, Ormeau are reminded that it is an offence to disobey parking signs and markings in various streets around the school.
These parking signs and markings have been placed in the streets to maintain a safe environment for everyone during school drop off and pick up times. Remember: Children are unpredictable on the streets and their safety is paramount.
The above sign means that there is to be no stopping on the street between the allocated times on school days. This includes a short stop to drop children off.
The above yellow road marking means that there is to be no stopping or parking at any time including outside school days and times.
Police regularly patrol these streets during peak times and infringement notices will be issued to any drivers who disobey the parking signs and markings.
For more information about street signs and road markings, visit the Department of Transport and Main Roads website.
