Surfers Paradise Police over the past three months have been undertaking some good old fashioned beat policing. The objective is to collaborate with all sectors of the community to deliver a problem solving approach to crime reduction.
Each week Senior Constables and Constables from Surfers Paradise Police Station, accompanied by our Volunteers-in-Policing, have been speaking with local businesses. On these occasions they have been exchanging information and delivering messages of safety and security, such as CODE A – What to do in an event of an armed robbery?
These interactions have been well received by community members and have provided a great opportunity for businesses to advise police of any matters of concern they are experiencing in their local areas.
Keep an eye out for police officers walking the beat and have any questions ready for them. They will be happy to help local businesses to remain safe and secure.
