Police have charged a 14-year-old girl following investigations into an alleged assault and unlawful wounding in Nerang yesterday.
It will be alleged at around 11.45pm an 18-year-old man was on a bus when three teens verbally assaulted him.
The man got off of the bus in Nerang and was allegedly followed by the trio. Police will allege a physical altercation ensued between the man and one of the teenagers, and the man received a laceration to his stomach.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 14-year-old girl has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
Two other teenagers are no longer assisting police with their enquiries.
