The Robina Town Centre Police Beat, along with Robina Town Centre Security have joined forces in a bid to enhance public safety and juvenile behaviour at the Robina Town Centre.
Due to current renovations at Pacific Fair, Police have noticed an increase in the number of juveniles shopping at the Robina Town Centre on Thursday “late night” shopping.
As a result, a number of public order offences and graffiti offences throughout the town centre involving these school aged persons have been reported.
Over the coming weeks, police will be increasing patrols around the Robina Town Centre and performing checks on juveniles to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
If police suspect juveniles have been involved in antisocial behaviour their names will be recorded on what is known as a “street check” and letters will be sent to their parents. This is to ensure that the parents or carers of these young person’s know where their children are and to prevent any harm coming to any person whilst enjoying their time at the Robina Town Centre.
Police urge the public, if you see any antisocial behaviour from another shopper whilst at the Robina Town Centre, report it to Centre Management on the second floor or the Robina Police Beat located on the Promenade.
