A 16-year-old boy from the Gold Coast will face Southport Childrens Court today after being charged with the robbery of a foreign visitor in Surfers Paradise on August 2, 2015.
It is alleged the boy demanded personal items from the foreign visitor and when he refused, the 16 year old boy punched him and stole the items.
A subseqeunt investigation by detectives attached to the Gold Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit identified and located the 16-year-old, where he wash arrested and charged.
He was also charged with a seperate stealing offence from July this year.
