Detectives from Gold Coast CPIU have tonight charged two teenage boys following investigations into an incident where a boy was stabbed at Miami yesterday afternoon.
A 15-year-old boy from Mermaid Waters has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and armed robbery and another 15-year-old boy from Miami has been charged with one count of armed robbery.
Police will allege the two boys have attended Hillcrest Parade and have become involved in a verbal altercation with another 15-year-old boy which has escalated and resulted in the boy receiving a single knife wound to his abdomen.
The 15-year-old boy was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The two boys who were charged will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
