Detectives from Taskforce Maxima have today arrested a 27-year-old man at Coomera after a quantity of dangerous drugs were located at a Paradise Island address earlier this month.
Police will allege a quantity of methylamphetmines (ICE), cannabis, steroids, other restricted drugs and drug paraphernalia were located during the execution of a search warrant on November 5.
A 27-year-old Coomera man, a patched member and an officer bearer of the Finks OMCG Gold Coast chapter, was charged with one count of the possession of dangerous drugs (ICE) in excess of the 3rd schedule.
He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court later today.
Detective Inspector Brendan Smith from Taskforce Maxima said: “We are still finding gang members in possession of dangerous drugs. The negative impacts of illegal drugs, particularly ICE, cannot be overstated.”
“Members of these gangs continue to offend, clearly demonstrating their true nature. The community expect us to target offending behaviour and accordingly, we will be unrelenting in our efforts,” Detective Inspector Brendan Smith said.
