Police are investigating the unlawful wounding of a 23-year-old man in his home at Nerang overnight.
The man has told police he was asleep in his Lawnhill Drive home when around 11.15pm three men forced their way into the residence.
The men made demands for money and assaulted the victim.
The victim led the men to his car parked outside at which time he fled into nearby bushes and hid.
The men left the scene.
During the incident the victim sustained a wound to his shoulder from an unknown weapon.
Investigations are continuing.
