Police are appealing for public assistance following the armed robbery of a man in Worongary overnight.

Initial investigations suggest at around 10:15pm a man approached a pizza delivery driver on Kambalda Court, threatening him with what appeared to be a knife and demanding money.

The delivery driver complied with the man’s demands, who then fled the scene on foot in a northerly direction, along Kambalda Court.

The 18-year-old male employee was not physically injured during the incident.

Police attended and conducted patrols of the area but were unable to locate the man.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall, of a thin build and wearing a dark-coloured hoodie.

Investigations are continuing.
