Elanora Police Beat were advised that a second syringe has been located near the Elanora Skate Bowl.
Investigations are being conducted in relation to the unlawful and irresponsible disposal of these syringes.
Concerned residents and parents from the nearby State School contacted Police Beat with information concerning the syringes.
Police immediately conducted an inspection of the area including the nearby toilet block and found that all the toilets were clean and had fairly new and functional sharps containers, so there is no reason for these needles to be disposed of in such a manner.
Palm Beach and Elanora Police Beat have tasked additional patrols in the area in an attempt to locate the person or persons responsible.
The area is a great facility for the community and police will continue their efforts in ensuring it is kept safe for all.
