Palm Beach Community Consultative Committee welcomed two new members to the meeting held on Tuesday night May 10 at the Currumbin RSL.
Newly appointed Senior Sergeant Bill Lythgo attended the meeting as a part of making himself known to the community and gave a brief overview of his almost three decades in the Queensland Police Service including extensive experience as a Detective.
Senior Sergeant Lythgo identified that presently his two main priorities are property crime and public order, further stating that he welcomes input from the community.
Chairman Ian Grace mentioned the great relationship that has developed between police and community and is confident it will continue.
Palm Beach local Elizabeth Bradley also joined the committee as Treasurer. Elizabeth has been working with the local police to form a Neighbourhood Watch Group in the southern Palm Beach area, anyone interested can contact the Elanora Police Beat on 5569 8488 or through the Palm Beach Gold Coast Neighbourhood Watch Facebook page.
Several matters were discussed at the meeting attended by around 25 people and we hope to see some positive outcomes as a result.
The next Community Consultative Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday August 16 at 6pm at the Currumbin RSL.
