Police are searching for a man after a bakery store at Helensvale was robbed at knife point today.
Around 11.50am a man armed with a knife entered the Lindfield Road business and made demands for money from the 35-year-old female store attendant.
When the woman failed to hand over any money the man reached over the counter and stole money from the cash register before fleeing on foot towards Discovery Drive.
There were no customers in the bakery at the time of the robbery.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Early description of the offender is that he is Caucasian with short blonde hair, blonde side burns and was wearing a black t-shirt with a white circle on it.
