Detectives are investigating an alleged robbery at Ormeau overnight.
Initial investigations indicate at about 2am a man has entered a Rivervale Street house via an unlocked door. He has awoken a man and woman, threatening them with a knife and stole the woman’s handbag.
A struggle ensured during which the male resident received a laceration to his abdomen.
The man then left the house in the victims Ford Ranger utility which had been parked in the driveway.
The vehicle has subsequently been located crashed into two parked cars at Kingston Road Loganlea.
The man is described as 180cm tall, skinny build in his late 20s with short brown hair and a tattoo sleeve on his right arm.
The 46-year-old male resident has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
