Police have charged a man and a boy in relation to the break and enter of a residence at Surfers Paradise in the early hours of this morning.
It is alleged that around 1am, police were conducting proactive patrols when they observed two males acting suspiciously in Norfolk Avenue.
When police went to investigate, the males fled separately, leaving allegedly stolen property at the scene.
Police searched the area and located the boy nearby a short time later.
A further search of the area located the man in Pine Avenue.
A 20-year-old Southport man and a 15-year-old boy have both been charged with burglary, unlawful entry and unauthorised dealing with goods.
The man is due to appear in Southport Court today.
The boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
