Graffiti charges, Coolangatta

With the assistance of the public and an extensive Gold Coast City Council CCTV system, police have apprehended and charged two young offenders for multiple graffiti offences committed in the Coolangatta CBD in the early hours of Saturday, May 27.

A 19-year-old man from Tweed Heads West and a 20-year-old man from Palm Beach have been charged with up to 12 wilful damage offences (graffiti) amounting to $2,500 damage and the possession of graffiti implements.

Damage was caused to local businesses, government buildings and other property.

The men have been issued with Notice to Appears to attend the Coolangatta Magistrates Court on June 19.
