A 17-year-old man from Miles is the second person to be charged by police for alleged ‘balcony hopping’ earlier this evening.

While on foot-patrol around Surfers Paradise just before 7pm, police officers saw the teenager move from adjoining balconies on level 11 of a high rise building on Beach Road.

He has been charged with one count of unregulated high risk activity and is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on December 4.

Police continue to urge all Schoolies to act responsibly and to report any dangerous behaviour.
