Woman charged with high-range drink driving, Paradise Point

Police have charged a 45-year-old woman after she was allegedly found driving more than six times the legal limit at Paradise Point today, Wednesday, May 2.

Around midday, police received information from members of the public in relation to a suspected drink driver.

Officers attended the scene where they located a female driver, who they breath tested and allegedly returned a positive result.

Police then transported the woman to the Runaway Bay Police Station where they conducted a secondary breath.

It will be alleged that the woman returned a breath alcohol concentration of .308%.

A 45-year-old Paradise Point woman was charged with one count of high-range drink-driving.

She is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on May 15, 2018.
