Police have charged a 31-year-old man following the stabbing of two police officers during an incident at a Palm Beach petrol station last night.
It will be alleged a man threatened police and during a violent struggle, which included the deployment of OC spray and a taser, two male officers sustained laceration or puncture wounds from a bladed weapon.
Both officers were transported to hospital where one received sutures to a leg puncture wound and the other treatment to a minor laceration to a forearm. Both officers have since been released.
The man has been charged with two counts of unlawful wounding, one count of public nuisance, four counts of obstructing police and one count of contravening a direction.
He is due to appear in the SouthportMagistrates Court today.
