Police are investigating the unlawful wounding of a man at a residence in Southport this afternoon.
Around 3.40pm two men attended a Terrigal Crescent house and approached a 33-year-old man.
A physical altercation occurred between the men and the 33-year-old man sustained two stab wounds to his back.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police investigations are continuing.
