Officers from the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad, together with Taskforce Maxima officers yesterday arrested two people after executing a search warrant at a Tugun residence in relation to dangerous and performance and image enhancing drugs.
About 6am officers were required to force entry into the residence after the occupant allegedly refused them entry. Investigators allegedly located amphetamines, steroids and a quantity of restricted prescription drugs.
A 25-year-old Tugun man was arrested and charged with possession of amphetamines, possession of steroids, four counts of possession of restricted drugs, assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer. He is expected to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court on September 9.
A 56-year-old man from the same address was issued a Notice to Appear for possession of a restricted drug and is due to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court on September 10.
