Palm Beach Police would like to extend an invitation to local residents to attend meetings of the Palm Beach Police Community Consultative Committee to be held throughout 2015.
We are pleased to announce that at the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 24 February 2015, Mr Ian Grace was appointed the newly elected Committee Chairperson.
Mr Grace has been actively involved in policing issues in the area for many years, and founded the award-winning Palm Beach Youth Music Venture, which greatly contributed to providing engagement for youth in the Palm Beach area.
The Officer-in-Charge, Palm Beach Police Station, Senior Sergeant Chris Ahearn said that he brings a wealth of business acumen to the role.
“He is a passionate advocate and campaigner for social issues in the Palm Beach area. We are delighted to have him steering the Committee and look forward to working closely with him in support of optimising policing services delivered in Palm Beach,” Senior Sergeant Chris Ahearn said.
The meetings are a forum for promoting partnerships between the community and local police and for resolving policing issues in the local area.
Meetings are held at the Currumbin RSL, 165 Duringan Street, Currumbin, on the following dates throughout the year.

- 6pm, Tuesday August 4
- 6pm, Tuesday December 1
