Project Booyah All Girls 3 will be coming to the Southern Gold Coast starting in July 2015.  Preparations are underway to assemble a cohort of girls to undertake the 18 week training and mentoring course.

During the 18 weeks the girls will be accompanied to TAFE once a week by Senior Constable Meredith Spencer a very dedicated officer on loan from Coolangatta Police Station.

One day a fortnight they will take part in a mentoring and life skills day which will be run from a local community centre hopefully one of the surf clubs. The girls will be taught everything from job skills to deportment and at the end will have a certificate II in hospitality.

The first two programs were highly successful and we still continue to work with some of the students.  Some have gone on to do very well and no longer active in crime and substance abuse.

Project Booyah the brainchild of Senior Sergeant Ian Frame has been expanding and the results have been very positive. Any inquiries can be directed to the website www.projectbooyah.com.au or Elanora Police Beat on 55698488.
