Today Surfers Paradise Police Station helped facilitate a Make-a-Wish request for 6 year old Jonah, from Dulwich Hill, NSW who is holidaying on the Gold Coast with his family.
Jonah met Officer-in-Charge of Surfers Paradise Police Station Senior Sergeant Munckton and was given a guided tour of the station facilities including a walk through the offender processing area. To give Jonah the full experience of being a police officer he also had his fingerprints and photograph taken as part of the activities which were planned for him.
Jonah was taught to use a Lidar speed detection device whilst at the station
After spending time at the station Jonah was then transported to the Gold Coast Water Police Unit to continue with his experience via the foreshore in the Beach Rhino in the company of Senior Constable Stephen Bate.
And further Jonah had a lot of fun placing his Dad under arrest.
